Hershey Track & Field Coordinator for the State of Nevada, Mike Habighorst, has announced that the following EKA middle school track athletes has qualified to compete at the Hershey State Track Meet to be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 9am at Western High School.
Alexander Campling, a senior, has advanced to National Merit Scholarship Program Finalist standing. He was one of the 16,000 semifinalists nationally to qualify for the National Merit Program in the spring of 2009. Alex has also received the Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship based on an unweighted grade point average (3.981 out of 4.000) and ACT (American College Testing - 34 out of 36) score. This scholarship is renewable for up to four years. Alex was one of 40 students selected in the Class of 2010 in the State of Nevada.
