EKA Students Recognized for High Academic Achievements in 2010

Alexander Campling, a senior, has advanced to National Merit Scholarship Program Finalist standing.  He was one of the 16,000 semifinalists nationally to qualify for the National Merit Program in the spring of 2009.    Alex has also received the Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship based on an unweighted grade point average (3.981 out of 4.000) and ACT (American College Testing - 34 out of 36) score.  This scholarship is renewable for up to four years.  Alex was one of 40 students selected in the Class of 2010 in the State of Nevada.

 

Stephen Pretto, a sophomore, receives national honor by being selected for membership to the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS).  The NSHSS recognizes top scholars and invites only those students who have achieved superior academic excellence.
