As you know, count day is a very important day at EKA. To be sure that everything went according to plan, we invited some special visitors to help enforce the rules. Of course, this Vader was mostly about telling Jokes and posing for photos.
Count day is over and we appreciate everyone who participated and helped to make this another successful count day! We will be posting more pictures of the Count Day Visitors with our EKA students soon.
A meeting of the Explore Knowledge Academy Board of Trustees will be held on September 25, 2014 at 5:00 pm, at 5871 Mountain Vista Street, Las Vegas, NV 89012
The 2013-2014 Nevada School Performance Framework Reports, including the yearly star ratings, are now available to the public. EKA made great improvements during 2013-2014 school year. EKA’s Elementary was just short of reaching 4 stars by 2 points, and both the Middle School and High School are rated 4 stars.

Shriners Hospital Open (P.G.A. Tour Event) Volunteer/Community Service Opportunity for Secondary Students of Explore Knowledge Academy
Our secondary students at Explore Knowledge Academy have a unique volunteer/community service opportunity within the Las Vegas community. This is a Professional Golfers Association (P.G.A.) Tour event that comes to town each October. This year, it will be held at the Tournament Players Club- TPC Summerlin. The golf tournament is October 17-October 20, 2014. The days that the tournament coordinators are seeking volunteers for are Thursday and Friday (October 16 & 17). The secondary students will be providing volunteer service as standard bearers. Their duties will consist of walking the course (18 holes) with P.G.A. Tour golfers and will be carrying a standard, which displays the golfers’ scores. The standard bearers are a courtesy provided for the spectators as an update to the current standings. Secondary students are required to take one training session. Session options are listed below.
