Explore Knowledge Academy is much more than just a school. It is a way of life: a way of celebrating all that life has to offer.

EKA is Las Vegas’ only project based charter school serving Kindergarten to grade 12. We are situated on three campuses, with K-2 located at our Community Lane campus, grades 3-6 located on our Sandhill campus (these campuses are adjacent to one another with Sandhill & Tropicana forming the major cross streets), & grades 7-12 on our Whitney Mesa Campus.

We offer a wide range of challenging and relevant academic, cultural, extra-curricular, & leadership programs which are designed to help our students reach their potential and instill in them a love of life, leadership, & learning.

At Explore Knowledge Academy we provide a seamless pathway through the various stages of schooling for every member of the family, from early childhood to young adulthood. But more than that, we endow our students with the confidence and energy to embrace life with all its joys, opportunities, & challenges.

EKA welcomes students of all backgrounds and levels of ability, recognizing each child’s talents & abilities, and the unique contribution they make to our community.. Our hope is that our students will develop a passion for life, and pursue it with conviction and energy. Our expectation is that parents enrolling their children will support our mission, values, and philosophies while participating in the ongoing life and development of the school.

We believe EKA students have a unique role to play, by using their strengths & talents for the good of the school, and ultimately, for the betterment of the local and global community we all share.

Congresswoman Titus visits EKA
9/2/2010

A message from our Executive Director:

Yesterday's visit with Congresswoman Titus went very well. She was quite impressed with our educational style and spoke with a few of our students and two EKA graduates that happened to be on campus. After speaking with one student who was working on a nutrition project, the Congresswoman promised to send the student information on her new wellness bill. I received that information today and it was forwarded to the student's advisor. We spoke about the re-authorization of No Child Left Behind and the issues charter schools face as far as funding, testing and teacher certifications. We have invited her back to visit again to listen to some student presentations of learning. Hopefully, she will take us up on our offer.

I wanted to thank all the students at the Secondary campus for their manners and thoughtful questions. Though the Congresswoman's visit was short, I believe she saw the exceptional way Explore Knowledge Academy educates students, and it gave her some insight into charter schools that she did not have prior.
